A Union, Maine library card gives you free access to our entire collection, plus e-books, museum passes, and more.
Getting a card is easy; just stop by the library with a photo ID and proof of address.

How to Apply
Visit us in person at 392 Common Rd, Union, ME 04862.
Bring a photo ID and proof of current address (such as a utility bill, lease, or piece of mail).
We’ll get you set up on the spot!

Your library card gives you access to:
Books: Fiction, non-fiction, mystery, fantasy & sci-fi, graphic novels, large print, and more for all ages.
DVDs: Movies and TV Series

E-books & E-audiobooks: Borrow digital titles anytime through cloudLibrary
Magazines: Current issues of popular magazines
Puzzles: Jigsaw puzzles for all ages
Your Vose Library card doesn’t stop at our door.
Through Maine’s Reciprocal Borrowing Program, you can walk into participating libraries statewide and check out materials using your home library card, no extra fees or sign-ups required. You can return your books to any participating library.

Interlibrary Loan (ILL)
Can’t find what you’re looking for in our catalog? We can borrow it from another library in Maine for you.
How it Works
Search for the item you want by title, author, or keyword
Click on the item to view details
Click “Request This Item”
Select Vose Library as your pickup location
Log in with your library card number and PIN (your PIN is the last 4 digits of your phone number; contact us if you need help)
Submit your request
We’ll notify you when your item arrives (usually within 1–2 weeks).
Need help requesting an item? No problem, just give us a call at (207) 785-4733 or stop by the library, and we’ll place the request for you.
cloudLibrary: E-Books & E-Audiobooks
Borrow e-books and e-audiobooks anytime, anywhere for free with your Vose Library card. cloudLibrary lets you browse, borrow, and read digital titles on your phone, tablet, or computer.
