Computers & WiFi

We offer free public computers and WiFi for all visitors, no library card required.

  • Public Computers: Available during library hours on a first-come, first-served basis

  • WiFi: Free high-speed WiFi available 24/7, inside and outside the building

Printing, Copying, Scanning,
& Faxing

Print, copy, scan, and fax documents at the library. Staff can assist if needed.

Credit card payments are accepted for orders over $5.

Pricing

  • Black & White copy/print: $0.20/page

  • Color copy/print: $0.40/page

  • Scanning: Free

  • Fax: $1.00 (first page), $0.50 (additional pages)

Book Lockers at Vose Library in Union Maine

After-Hours Pickup Lockers

Can’t make it during library hours? No problem.

We offer secure outdoor lockers at the front of the building where you can pick up books and DVDs anytime, day or night.

How It Works:

  • Place a hold on the item you want, or call/email us with your request

  • We’ll notify you when your item is ready and give you a locker number and combination

  • Pick up your item whenever it’s convenient; the lockers are accessible 24/7

Vose Library Craft Kit

Kids’ Crafts

Every month, we put together free craft kits for kids! Each kit includes supplies and instructions for a fun, hands-on project.

Stop by the library to pick one up while supplies last.

Free Museum & Park Passes

Borrow free passes to explore some of Maine’s best museums, gardens, and parks. Passes are available to Vose Library cardholders on a first-come, first-served basis.

Please give us at least 24 hours’ notice to reserve a pass.

Physical passes must be returned the day after they are used. You can drop them off at the circulation desk or the book drop.

How to Reserve:

  • Coast Maine Botanical Gardens - Park Pass Available at Vose Library

    Location: Boothbay Harbor, Maine

    2 adult passes available per day
    (Children under 18 are always free!)

    We can email your tickets to you or print them at the library for pickup

    Great for family day trips.

    Note: Please allow 24 hours’ notice for processing

  • Farnsworth Art Museum - Museum Pass Available at Vose Library

    Location: Rockland, Maine

    4 passes available per day — admits adults
    (Children under 16 are free with an accompanying adult!)

    Pass is physical and must be returned the day after your visit

    Note: Special ticketed events and classes are not included

  • Maine State Parks - Park Pass Available at Vose Library

    Location: Maine

    Vehicle pass covers driver + passengers (up to 17-passenger vehicle)

    Good for day use at Maine State Parks
    Cannot be combined with camping reservations

    Lost/damaged fee: $105 if the pass is not returned in usable condition

  • Center for Maine Contemporary Art - Museum Pass Available at Vose Library

    Location: Rockland, Maine

    1 pass available per day — admits 2 adults
    (Children under 18 are always free!)

    Pass is physical and must be returned the day after your visit

    Note: Special ticketed events and classes are not included

Digital Maine Library

The Digital Maine Library provides free access to magazines, newspapers, academic journals, encyclopedias, and research tools for all Maine residents.

Resources include:

  • Magazine and newspaper archives

  • Encyclopedias and reference materials

  • Health and medical information

  • Business and career resources

  • Homework help and test prep

Ancestry Library Edition

Research your family history with access to billions of genealogical records, including census data, vital records, military records, and more.

Ancestry Library Edition is available onsite at the library for free. You can access it by connecting to our WiFi or using one of our computers.
